Bhubaneswar: Globally renowned sand artist and Sudarshan Pattanaik created and unveiled the G20 Logo and Theme at the Chandrabhaga Beach in Odisha on Thursday when India assumes the G20 Presidency.
To inculcate a universal sense of oneness, India’s chosen theme, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, One Earth, One Family, One Future, was showcased through this magnificent display of sand art created by Pattanaik and his students over the past two days.
Speaking to reporters present at the International Sand Art Festival, Pattnaik said that India’s Logo and Theme represent the ancient knowledge and values that have passed down through millennia with the message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
“This is something that all of us in India already know, now we have a chance to share that ancient wisdom with the rest of the world through the G20 platform,” the internationally acclaimed artist said.
