New Delhi: COVID-19 claimed another frontline warrior against the disease. Heera Lal, senior sanitation supervisor at AIIMS, New Delhi passed away on Monday.
Heera Lal developed symptoms of the disease on Tuesday last. He was asked to go on leave. As his condition worsened two days ago, he was admitted to the emergency ward in the hospital and put on ventilator. But he passed away on Monday.
Heera Lal, who handled the entire sanitation effort at AIIMS, did not have protective gear. His job required him to remain in constant touch with disinfection staff, cleaners, and ward boys.
