Bhubaneswar: Odisha made short work of Andaman & Nicobar in their opening Group V fixture at Capital Football Arena here on Saturday.

Odisha, hosting the matches of the six-team Group V, dominated from start to finish to win 7-0.

Sanjit Khora opened the scoring in the 5th minute and Adwin Tirkey doubled the home team’s lead 60 seconds later. Bikash Sahoo found the mark in the 13th minute, while Khora scored his second five minutes later.

Crossing over with a 4-0 lead, Chandra Muduli (61st), Chandra Murmu (86th) and Rahul Mukhi (90+1) joined the goal-fest to complete Andaman & Nicobar’s misery.

In Saturday’s other matches in the group, Telangana outplayed Pondicherry 5-1, while Sikkim held Meghalaya 0-0.

Hosts Odisha will face Pondicherry next, on December 26.
