Jagatsinghpur: Jagatsinghpur reported 29 new corona positive cases on Friday, taking the district’s tally to 268.
The district administration in a tweet identified 10 patients as residents of Biridi block, of which four had a travel history to Tamil Nadu, three to Maharashtra, and one each to Jharkhand, Telangana and Saudi Arabia. They were in quarantine centres.
Seven more are the residents of Tirtol. Six cases were in detected TMC while one was staying at an isolation facility in Jagatsinghpur district headquarters hospital. Five among them had returned from Maharashtra and one each from Tamil Nadu and Oman.
Five patients each are from Raghunathpur and Balikuda and lodged in temporary medical camps. Of them, three had returned from Maharashtra, two each from Tamil Nadu and Delhi, and one each from Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab.
Two are from Kujanga block and were in TMC. One had a travel history to Maharashtra and the other to Tamil Nadu.
All the affected have been shifted to the COVID hospital in Paradip and KIIMS Hospital, the collector added.
With 155 recoveries, Jagatsinghpur now has 113 active cases.
