Bhadrak: A school student was killed and two others critically injured after the auto-rickshaw carrying them met an accident in Odisha’s Bhadrak on Friday.
As per reports, the auto-rickshaw was taking 7-8 students of Prashanti Sishu Vihar, an English medium school at Vishnu Vihar in Basudevpur of the district to their homes. On the way, the auto-rickshaw hit the road divider on Hadsahi road near Mandari square and turned turtle.
All the students were thrown off the vehicle and the auto-rickshaw fell on them. The locals rushed to the spot and rescued them from under the vehicle. All the students, who were injured in the accident, were rushed to the hospital at Basudevepur where a student was declared brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Honey Roula of Nalabanka, a Class V student of the school. The condition of two other students was stated to be critical.
