Sambalpur: To contain the spread of COVID-19, Section 144 has clamped at more 14 places under the jurisdiction of Sambalpur Municipal Corporation (SMC) from Friday.
The areas where prohibitory orders will be imposed from August 14 till August 20 are:-
People have been asked to stay 100 metres away from prohibited areas. “No person will be allowed to enter within 100 meters (sic) radius of the above-restricted zone. The Executive Magistrates/ IICs Ainthapali PS / Dhanupali PS/Town PS, Khetrajour PS/ Hirakud PS/ Burin PS are hereby directed to keep a close watch on that affected area regarding the movement of unauthorised persons within the restricted zone,” the Sub-Divisional Magistrate order said.
The administration had earlier clamped Section 144 at Hatli Chhak and Hirakud Colony in Bada Bazar, Shraddhakar Supakar Lane in Jhaduapada; Haragouri Pada, Jagannath Mandir Colony and Housing Board Colony in Panchagochhia; Siba Nagar in Dhanupalli, Explosive Colony in Motijharan and Nuapada and Kansaripada in Bareipalli for five days till August 16 to contain the spread of coronavirus.
