Security Guard Hacked To Death By Colleague At Railway Project Site In Odisha’s Boudh

Boudh: A security guard deployed at a railway project site was hacked to death allegedly by his colleague at Khuntiapada Jogibhogora in Odisha’s Boudh district.

According to sources, the incident took place near a railway bridge at Khuntiapada Jogibhogora following a heated argument between the two security guards.

The deceased was identified as Ranjan Pradhan of Rautbahal village. Accused security guard, identified as Prakash Behera oif Khuntiapada, was arrested after he surrendered before the police after committing the crime.

As per information, security guards have been deployed at the railway construction site. While one guard was being put on duty at night, the other used to get day shift. When Ranjan was on duty on Sunday night, Prakash reached the site and an argument took place between the two.

The argument took an ugly turn when Prakash picked up an axe and allegedly hacked Ranjan in a fit or rage, killing him on the spot. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
