Puri: Amid burning issues of heritage corridor project and vandalising of kitchen in Jagannath temple, here, senior IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav assumed office as chief administrator of Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) on Wednesday.
Yadav was given the additional charge of SJTA Chief last week. Present incumbent Krishan Kumar has been relieved of the charge following his Central deputation. A 1996-batch IAS officer, Yadav visited the temple and offered prayer to Lord Jagannath before taking charge.
Yadav is presently serving as principal secretary of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare department and Works department.
