Bhubaneswar: A sepoy of the 7th Battalion of the Odisha State Armed Police died of COVID-19 in the Odisha Capital late on July 11.
According to the Commissionerate Police, the sepoy was admitted to the KIIMS COVID Hospital on July 11 after he fell ill.
He, however, succumbed to his illness around 3 am.
According to the hospital sources, the deceased was afflicted with Hepatitis-B. After his death, his blood and swab samples were sent for COVID-19 test and the result was found to be positive.
