Mumbai: Underworld don and globally designated terrorist Dawood Ibrahim’s seven properties will be put on auction on November 10. This will be done under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act (SAFEMA), according to officials.
This is said to be the largest auction of Dawood’s properties in Maharashtra. The auction will be conducted over video conferencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reported India Today.
Six properties are at Mumbake village in Khed taluka of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra.
27 gunthas of land with a reserve price of Rs 2,05,800; 29.30 gunthas of land with a reserve price of Rs 2,23,300; 24.90 gunthas of land with a reserve price of Rs 1,89,800; 20 gunthas of land with a reserve price of Rs 1,52,500; 18 gunthas of land with a reserve price of Rs 1,38,000; 27 gunthas of land and building no 172 with a reserve price of Rs 5,35,800;
Another property of the dreaded don that will also be auctioned is 30 gunthas of land along with a structure in Lotevillage, Khed. The reserve price for the land is Rs 61,48,100.
The prospective bidders can inspect the properties on November 2, maintaining social distancing and adhering to all COVID-19 guidelines.
In 2019, authorities had auctioned a flat in Nagpada which was said to be of Dawood’s sister late Haseena Parkar.
