Bhubaneswar: A severed human leg was recovered from Barabari nullah under Khandagiri police limits on Tuesday.
According to sources, locals spotted the severed body part and immediately informed the police.
“No other body part was found in nearby areas. Our inquiry on whether anyone was buried in the area too led nowhere,” said a police officer.
Police strongly suspect that a wild animal could have brought the severed leg from nearby burial grounds. “Our men will visit the nearby burial grounds for further investigation,” the officer added.
