Last week, a video of a toddler trying to playfully wake up his dead mother at Muzaffarpur railway station had gone viral on social media platforms, leaving netizens teary-eyed.
Here comes the good ending to the heart-breaking story: Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan came to the toddler’s rescue.
As per reports, SRK’s Meer foundation rescued the child and helped unite him with family members in his home state Bihar.
The kid is being taken care of now by his grandfather and Shah Rukh’s Meer foundation will be providing all necessary support to bring him up.
Sharing this news with his fans, Shah Rukh retweeted Meer Foundation’s tweet:
The toddler’s mother, 35-year-old Avreena Khatoon, died on board the Ahmedabad-Katihar Shramik Special train last week due to hunger and severe heat during coronavirus-induced lockdown.
The body lay on the platform till an ambulance picked it up.
In the viral video, the child is seen pulling a sheet of cloth covering his mother’s body, unaware that his mother was no more.
