Bhopal: An FIR was lodged against Bhojpuri singer Neha Singh Rathore over her social media post on a recent incident in Madhya Pradesh where a man urinated on a tribal.

In Neha’s post, a half-naked man, presumably the accused Pravesh Shukla, is seen urinating on another person (presumably Dashmesh Rawat). While urinating, the man – clad in a half-sleeved shirt and a cap – is smoking while his shorts are kept aside.

Neha wrote, “MP me ka ba (What is happening in MP)? Coming Soon..” along with the picture.

Based on a complaint by one Suraj Khare, Neha was booked at Habibganj police station in Bhopal, under Section 153(A) (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race etc.) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

This is not the first time Neha has attracted attention of law enforcers with her social media post.

Five months ago, she was served a notice by UP Police for her song ‘UP Me Ka Ba – Season 2’, which criticised the Yogi Adityanath government over the death of a mother-daughter duo during an eviction drive.

Neha told India Today that state governments cannot provide, and only issue notices.

She said she won’t stop singing on the issues of the common people.
