Baripada: Tension prevailed at Chauliasola Square on Udala-Baripada Road in Mayurbhanj as six ambulance staff were allegedly thrashed by locals after it hit a trolley late on Wednesday. Due to fog and poor visibility, an 108 ambulance hit a stationary trolley while it was returning from a hospital from Udala at around 2 am. The irate locals present there thrashed the driver, pharmacist and an attendant. On being informed, another ambulance team from Baripada reached the spot and they were also meted out the same treatment. The injured Ambulance staff were then sent to the hospital. They have threatened to stage an agitation, if no action is taken against the locals.
