Bhubaneswar: Police on Friday arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in the egg hurling incident involving Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda.
According to police sources, a case was registered with regard to the incident under Sections 147, 148, 294, 323, 337, 355, 506 and 149 of the IPC at Mahanga police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by social activist Subhendra Nayak.
Earlier on May 30, a group of BJD activists had allegedly pelted the MP with eggs and stones during his visit to Jatiparilo village under Mahanga block of Kendrapada district to inaugurate an overhead water tank project.
