Bhubaneswar: After witnessing an upward trend for three days, the daily COVID cases in Odisha dropped slightly on Saturday with 42 positives in the last 24 hours against 44 on Friday and 41 on Thursday.
According to the I & PR Department, 24 of the new cases are from quarantine and 18 are local contacts. Among them, only six belong to the 0-18 years age group.

7. Mayurbhanj: 1
8. Nabarangpur: 3

11. Sambalpur: 2
12. Sonepur: 1
13. Sundargarh: 18
Notably, no COVID cases have been reported from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 9,367 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.44%. With 55 recoveries in the last 24 hours, Odisha now has 306 active cases.
