Bhubaneswar: The capital city registered a marginal fall in new COVID infections on Monday with 286 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. The city had logged 371 new cases on Sunday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 64 of the new infections are from quarantine and 222 local contacts.
Of the local contact cases, 13 each are from Nayapalli and Patia, 11 from Laxmi Sagar and 10 from Khandagiri.
The city logged 234 recoveries in the last 24 hours while the number of deceased touched 776 with the government confirming 25 more deaths due to the virus. Bhubaneswar now has 2015 active cases.
