New Delhi: India logged a slight surge in COVID-19 cases as well as deaths in the last 24 hours on Friday. The country’s daily COVID-19 cases rose by 4,194, taking the tally up to 42.98 million, according to data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data.
The daily COVID-19 fatalities too rose by 255 on Friday and took the toll up to 515,714, the data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare revealed.
India had reported 4,184 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday.
With a single-day hike of 4,184 infections and 104 deaths, India’s COVID-19 tally soared to 4,29,80,067 and the toll to 5,15,459, said the government data.
