Bhubaneswar: In a special initiative to spread awareness against fake news and limit its impact on society, SOA’s community radio, ‘Voice of SOA 90.4 FM’ started a programme known as ‘Fact Shaala’ where various media personnel will inform people about the impact of fake news and how to check the authenticity of the news.
The programme will be aired every weekend on Saturday and Sunday at 7 am in the morning, 1 pm in the afternoon, and 7 pm in the evening respectively.
In the previous session, various types of information, how to verify the news with the method of ‘stop, check and go,’ ‘what is news’, biased news coverage in media, and how news is published based on misinformation in different media houses was discussed with the RJs
