Cuttack: The Odisha Police will launch its operation for rescuing missing children from March 7.
Presiding over a high-level review meeting with senior police officials at the State Police headquarters on Wednesday, Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay said that the special drive will continue till March 14 for which special teams have been formed.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data, 13 children, including 11 girls, are kidnapped every 24 hours in Odisha. Of the 1 lakh child population in the state, 30 children fall victim to kidnapping and abductions.
