Bhubaneswar: A special screening of Odia film ‘DAMaN’ will be held at the Convention Centre, Lokseva Bhawan, for officers of the Odisha government at 5 pm on Sunday.
Officers of the rank of Joint Secretary and above have been invited to watch the movie by Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department.
The film based on the malaria prevention programme of the state government stars Babushaan Mohanty and Dipanwit Dashmohapatra and depicts the dedication of a young government doctor in Malkangiri district in fighting the malaria menace.
On Friday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik declared the movie tax-free. “The government has taken the initiative to promote and encourage the doctors and workers in health sectors in extending their services. If all departments work in cohesion with proper coordination as during COVID pandemic, we can build a strong and healthy society,” a CMO release said.
