Startup Odisha Event Connects Startups In State With Leading Investors

Bhubaneswar: Startup Odisha organised the much-awaited investor connect event FundStack 3.0 for the benefit of startups in the state.

The two-day event and pitching session are meant to help startups connect with renowned investors and raise much-needed capital and funds from Angel Network and Venture Capitalist firms.

Dr Omkar Rai, Executive Chairman of Startup Odisha, government of Odisha, launched Fundstack 3.0 on October 20 over a virtual gathering. He also inaugurated the website for startups to start applying for the programme and use this opportunity for raising their first cheque from investment partners.

Dr Rai emphasised on the success stories from the last edition, which were inspiring and motivational for aspiring entrepreneurs of the state.

The 20 finalists of last year’s Fundstack got a chance to connect with some of India’s leading investment firms and startups such as Transport Simple, Homvery, Carbon Out, LarkAI and many were able to secure their first fundraising.

Dr Rai asserted that Fundstack 3.0 will be an opportunity to introduce Odisha Startup Growth Fund (OSGF) and enable more partners to join this initiative of the state government to fuel growth of startup ecosystem in Odisha.

This year, 50 startups were selected to be curated by experts and mentors through an investment readiness workshop. They will then pitch before the investors on November 21, from which 20 startups will be shortlisted to be part of dedicated one-on-one meetings over speed dating and networking sessions at the closing ceremony on November 22.
