Bhubaneswar: Secretary, People for Animals, Bhubaneswar, Jeevan Bailey Das, has been blacklisted from all Government aids relating to different animal welfare activities following charges of misutilisation of the Government funds.
Director, AH & VS-cum-Member State Animal Welfare Board, informed this to all Chief District Veterinary Officers through a letter on Tuesday.
The letter stated that Das cannot be a part of any animal welfare activities henceforth as forgery cases are pending against him.
FIRs were filed against him in 2007 for intentional misappropriation of Government funds and producing sterilisation certificate by forging the signature of former City Health Officer, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. He has also been accused of fraudulently withdrawing Government money for dog sterilization project, the letter stated.
The FIRs are under investigation in Badagada and Kharavela Nagar police station.
