Balasore: Days after an American Akita was banished from Odisha capital after it mauled an 8-year-old, a similar incident was reported from Pathan Mahala area in Balasore district where a stray dog attacked more than 30 people.
According to sources, the dog attacked people during their morning walks. All the injured people were admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
Following the incident, locals beat the dog to death.

This comes close on the heels of a pet dog being banished from Bhubaneswar following a complaint against the owner of the American Akita at Infocity police station after it allegedly attacked an eight-year-old boy. The incident took place on November 6 evening.
The minor boy sustained seven wounds on his body, including on his back and stomach. His mother pointed out that he suffered category III bite in the attack.
