Balangir: A 3-year-old baby girl was mauled to death by a stray dog while she was playing in the yard at Balipata village under Patnagarh block in Odisha’s Balangir on Thursday.
According to sources, the dog attacked the baby girl following which her family rushed to the spot after hearing her scream.
They rescued and rushed her to Patnagarh Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH). However, the doctors declared the minor dead.
More than 10 persons have also sustained critical injuries as they were bitten by the animal while rescuing the girl. They are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
