Student Leaders Are Drivers Of Change: Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik exhorted the student leaders to fight against misinformation on social media.

Addressing youths and students at Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) Executive Body Meeting at State BJD Party Office here on Wednesday Naveeen said “This is the age of digital and social media. This form of media has bigger impact on every sphere of our lives. At the same time, social media is flooded with misinformation, which is not true in many cases. Misinformation is the biggest enemy of social harmony.”

he called upon the students to give importance to three facts in life: Work hard for complete utilisation of your potential and create your special identity.

Secondly, never forget your duty towards your family and parents and thirdly, use your potential for the development of society where your have grown up.

He termed the student leaders as the “sarathi (pilots) of new and emerging Odisha.”

The student leaders demanded that single exam pattern be followed for all universities and results be declared within a certain time-frame, among others.

Invoking Odia pride Naveen said “Even today, the bravery and war strategy of our Paika heroes and works of the sons of our soil like Utkalamani Gopabandhu, Utkal Gourav Madhu Babu, Buxi Jagabandhu and Veer Surendra Sai and are our best identity. Let us learn and try to know our unique identity and propagate it to our posterity,” the BJD supremo said.
