Jharsuguda: In a bid to woo voters, the BJD has roped in Bollywood actors to campaign for its candidates.

Two well-known Bollywood actors, Sunil Shetty and Mahima Chaudhry, campaigned for BJD candidates in Jharsuguda on Friday.

The duo addressed public meetings at H. Katapali, Bombay Square and Jhanda Square in the presence of BJD candidate from Jharusugda, Nabakishore Das, and BJD candidate for Bargarh, Prasanna Acharya.

There was a heavy rush of people wanting to catch a glimpse of the two actors.

Talking to mediapersons, Mahima said she was very happy to meet the people of Jharsuguda. “I am also very happy that a new airport has come up in this town, which will attract more and more people from other states,” she said.

Before leaving for Mumbai, Sunil urged the people to exercise their franchise. “Please give your vote to whoever you feel is fit to be your representative. You should never abstain from voting, as you have every right to vote,” he said.
