England: India defeated England by seven wickets in the third T20I at Bristol on Sunday.
England set a target of 198 runs. India scored 201 in 18.4 overs, winning the match and the T20I series.
Opener Rohit Sharma, who was also man of the match, struck an amazing century and powered the team to victory. Though India lost Shikhar Dhawan early in the 199 chase, Rohit along with KL Rahul kept things under control and held it all together with 41-run partnership.
KL Rahul left the field after scoring 19 runs. Captain Virat Kohli kept the scoreboard ticking with personal score of 43 runs as Rohit kept hitting great shots.
Chris Kordan broke the 89-run partnership between Rohit and Kohli, but by then the match was already in India’s kitty. The men in blue reached the target with eight balls to spare.
The tour began with India taking the lead with England coming back strongly in the next match.
