Tata has finally revealed the prices of its first electric vehicle – Tigor EV. It is available in two trims, priced at Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 10.90 lakh.
The Tata Tigor EV will be sold only to fleet operators currently. The prices include FAME II subsidy of around Rs 1.62 lakh. This is Rs 4 lakh more than the petrol Tigor.
The Tigor EV comes with a 16.2kWh battery that gives a range of 142km (Tata claim) on a single charge. The 72V 3-phase AC induction motor produces 30kW (41hp) and 105Nm torque at 4,500rpm. 72V, 3-phase AC induction motor. The battery can be recharged to 80 per cent in six hours using a standard AC wall socket and 90 minutes with a DC 15kW fast charger.
Tata gives a 3-year/1.25 lakh km warranty on the vehicle and battery.
The specifications are similar to the petrol Tigor. It comes with dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, 14-inch alloy wheels, power adjustable wing mirrors, LED tail-lamps, a climate control unit, driver’s seat height adjust, power windows and a Harman-sourced 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity.
The boot space is down by 89 litres from 419 litres.
