Texas: A teacher at Harris County, Texas, in the US, was arrested for allegedly locking her 13-year-old COVID-infected son in a car boot.
Sarah Beam (41) has been charged with endangering a child, the BBC reported.
She allegedly took the step to protect herself from getting exposed to the virus while driving to Pridgeon Stadium location for another test to confirm the result. A witness called the police after hearing noises in the vehicle’s trunk on January 3, according to click2Houston.com.
Sgt Richard Standifer, of the Texas Department of Public Safety, told local TV station KHOU 11 that the boy could have been seriously hurt if the vehicle had ended up in a collision.
