Sambalpur: Violating the ban on gatherings and picnics imposed by the state government with an aim to check the spread of COVID-19, teachers and students of a school were spotted enjoying a picnic in the district.
The teachers and students of a government-run primary school were found picnicking under Sambalpur Town Police limits on Sunday. The picnickers included children below 15 years and two teachers, stated reports.
Sans face masks and social distancing, it looked the picnic looked like a hotspot for spreading the infection.
It may be mentioned that the Government has banned picnic and all types of celebrations in public places in view of upsurge in COVID-19 cases.
