Bhubaneswar: Telangana Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrasekahar Rao is expected to meet his Odisha counterpart and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik here on Sunday, amid speculations that the former is holding parlays with non-Congress and non-BJP parties to form an alternative front ahead of the Lok Sabha polls next year.
While KCR office issued a statement on Friday in Hyderabad about his plans to meet Naveen on Sunday and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday, the Odisha CM’s office has made no announcement so far about the proposed meeting.
KCR is also expected to meet BSP supremo Mayawati and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav next week.
According to some unconfirmed reports, Rao will arrive in the Odisha capital on Sunday afternoon and meet Naveen at Naveen Niwas. He will also make a night halt there and then visit Puri on Monday morning to pay his obeisance at the Sri Jagannath Temple.
Rao will leave for Kolkata thereafter to meet the West Bengal Chief Minister.
