Bhubaneswar: Three criminals were caught by a patrolling police team near Sishu Bhawan Square in the city on Monday night.
Police said they received a tip-off that three anti-socials were moving on bikes near Sishu Bhawan Square. A Quick Action Team (QAT) and Capital Police raided the area and detained the three.
Police seized a country-made single shot firearm, a country-made revolver and three bullets, two bikes and two mobile phones from their possession.
The criminals were identified as Saroj Behera alias Happy (19) of Gosareswar Chhak area in Old Town, Roman Mallia (19) of Kapileswar village on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar and Babul Behera alias Raja (20) of Behera Sahi in Old Town. They will be forwarded to court on Tuesday after interrogation, police said.
