Three Prime Accused In Bhubaneswar Market Building Attack Case Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police have arrested three prime accused in the brutal attack on street vendors at Market Building complex in Unit II here on January 10.

The three accused have been identified as Chintu, Pritam and Udit. They were apprehended on Saturday night.

With this, the number of those arrested rose to 25. Earlier, police had arrested 22 accused, including 16 minor boys and a son of a DSP, in this case.

The Commissionerate Police said that 30 persons involved in this incident were identified on the basis of CCTV footage and efforts were on to arrest the remaining five.

On January 10, masked men had unleashed a reign of terror in the Market Building complex and attacked street vendors with sticks and sharp weapons and ransacked more than 100 shops.
