Nayagarh: Three youths were killed after their bike rammed into a roadside tree at Komanda Pathara under Odagaon model police station limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district, late Thursday night.
The deceased, identified as Madhab Pradhan(20), Suryakant Pradhan(19) and Rakesh Nayak(19) of Maheswarpur, were returning home on a bike from Sri Ram Navami fair in a nearby village when the accident took place.
After the accident at 12 am, some locals rescued the three in critical condition and admitted them to Odagaon Community Health Centre. However, Suryakant was declared brought dead while the two others who were shifted to the district headquarters hospital succumbed to injuries during treatment.
Meanwhile, police have seized the bike and started an investigation into it.
