Bhubaneswar: Rain or thundershower is likely in parts of eight districts of Odisha in next two hours, said IMD.
Issuing a yellow message in a nowcast warning at 5.30 pm on Sunday, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said light rain/thundershower is likely in some parts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam and Gajapati districts in next three hours.
The IMD advised the people of these districts to keep a watch on weather and move to safe places to protect themselves.
Earlier, the weather forecaster had said light to moderate rain may continue in 14 districts, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 5.30 pm.
According to the midday bulletin of the IMD, light to moderate rain/thundershower may continue at a few places across the state till October 5.
