Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological department has issued Yellow Warning of light to moderate rain and thunderstorm for several parts of Odisha till 8.30 am of April 23.
Up To 8.30 am of April 21:
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Gajapati district.
Between 8.30 am of April 21 and April 22
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Ganjam,
Gajapati.
This apart, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Angul during the period.
Between 8.30 am of April 22 and April 23
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh and Kandhamal.
Bhubaneswar will have a partly cloudy sky with possibility of development of thunder/ lightning in the next 24 hours. Maximum and minimum temperature are very likely to be around 38 degrees and 27 degrees respectively, in the Capital City, the IMD stated.
“No large change in Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during next 24 hours over the districts of Odisha and it will fall by about 2-30 C at a few places over the districts of Odisha in subsequent 2 days. Again Maximum temperature likely to gradually rise by 2-3 degrees from 24th April,” the Met department informed.
Maximum temperature will be more than 40 degrees Celsius at many places over the interior districts likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degrees at a few places during next 24 hours. The IMD advised to take precautionary measure for hot weather condition while going outside during daytime.
