Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued thunderstorm, lightning and light to moderate rainfall warning for 23 districts of Odisha.
The latest doppler weather radar and satellite images indicate that moderate thunderstorm with a gusty wind speed reaching 30 kmph to 40 kmph and lightning with light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Nuapara, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Boud, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Sonepur, Angul, Balangir, Sambalpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Khurda including Bhubaneswar, Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack including Cuttack town.
The weatherman said that this condition is likely to prevail at these places between 7 pm and 10.30 pm.
The highest maximum temperature of 40.2 degree Celsius was recorded at Titlagarh and the lowest of 29.4 degree Celsius in Balasore.
