Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Tuesday issued thunderstorm warning for 10 districts of Odisha.
The alert has been sounded for Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Balasore and Deogarh districts till 6:45 pm.
The latest Doppler weather radar and images indicate that thunderstorm and lightning accompanied by spells of rain are likely to occur at these places, a Met bulletin said.
People in these districts have been advised to stay indoors or shift to safe locations, if such weather conditions prevail, the bulletin added.
