Thunderstorm, Lightning Warning In These Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: As many as 26 districts of Odisha, including Khurda and Cuttack, are likely to experience light and moderate thunderstorm, lightning and light rain late in the evening, Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Friday.

As per the release issued by IMD, some parts of Nayagarh, Khurda (including Bhubaneshwar city), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Kandhamal, Nuapada, Balangir, Baragarh, Kalahandi, Kendrapada, Boudh, Angul, Sonepur,  Jharsuguda, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Jagatsingpur, Puri, Raygada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Deogarh, Sundergarh and Sambalpur are likely to see moderate thunderstorm, lightning and light rain in the next few hours.

People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strike, IMD warned.

Meanwhile, Sonepur recorded highest temperature with 40.8 degree Celsius on Frdiay, followed by Titilagarg (40 degree Celsius) and Boudh (40 degree Celsius).
