Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday forecast thunderstorm with gusty wind and lightning at one or two places in coastal Odisha and Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhmal, Gajapati, Angul, Dhenkanal districts from 1 pm on Sunday to 8.30 am on Monday.
According an IMD press release, rainfall occurred at one or two places in the state with maximum being recorded in Mayurbhanj district.
There has been no appreciable change in maximum temperature with mercury soaring above normal in south interior Odisha and staying normal at remaining places.
While coastal Odisha has witnessed a fall in minimum temperature and no major change was observed in the interior parts of the state.
The highest maximum temperature of 42 degree Celsius was recorded at Titlagarh and the lowest of 17.80 C in Balasore.
