Bhubaneswar: The state unit of Trinamool Congress (TMC) celebrated the 71st Independence Day with patriotic fervour at its office here on Tuesday.
“Independence Day is an occasion to re-affirm our commitment to fulfil the dreams of the great freedom fighters to make the country vibrant and progressive,” TMC state unit chairman Arya Kumar Gyanendra said after hoisting the tricolour.
Later, a one-minute silence was observed by the party leaders to pay homage to the martyrs and freedom fighters of the country.
Among others, party’s women wing convenor Gita Chaini, youth wing convenor Subhranshu Padhi, state secretary Bibekananda Padhi, student’s wing convenor Soumya Ranjan Goswami and other members were
