Cuttack: Protesting the unwillingness of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) authorities in conducting COVID-19 tests in the Behera Sahi locality, Malgodown Byabasai Sangh on Thursday threatened the closure of the Malgodown from Monday.
The Sangh said in a statement that as COVID-19 positive cases have been reported from Behera Sahi and 10 from this locality have tested positive for the virus, the swab tests of people working in Malgodown have to be conducted immediately as they may infect fellow workers. So the Sangh had urged CMC authorities to conduct swab test of these workers.
But since the CMC hasn’t responded, the Sangh said it will be forced to close down the Malgodown indefinitely from Monday.
