The BJD had come up with the idea of training the party workers earlier on the instruction of its president Naveen Patnaik. The party aims at training its cadres to work as campaigners of the government’s welfare schemes in the run-up to the elections to mobilise support from the voters.

The BJD also plans to renew its campaign “Ghare Ghare Sankha” (party symbol conch in every house), which the party had launched before 2019 elections.

The party has formed a committee headed by senior leader and vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra to look after the training programme. Several experienced leaders are also members of the committee. Besides, experts from various departments, economists and political experts have been roped in to impart training.
