Koraput: Tribal leader Nachika Linga of Odisha’s Koraput was acquitted by the court in all 50 cases against him on Wednesday.
In 2009, he went to jail in connection with Narayanapatna police station attack. Linga is the president of the Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh of Koraput district.
Earlier, he was acquitted in 49 cases. In the 50th case, Koraput Additional Sessions Judge acquitted him after examining statements of 39 witnesses, his lawyer Gupteswar Panigarahi said.
“Truth and justice have won,” said Nachika in his reaction on the judgement.
