Nayagarh: Two cousin brothers slipped and drowned in a pond while taking a bath at Abhimanpur village under Itamati police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district on Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Linkun Kar (12) and Prateek Pranayan Kar (11).
According to sources, they went to a village pond to take a bath this morning. Their families went looking for them when they did not return after a long time and found a shirt and a pair of shoes near the pond. They then searched for them in pond and found the bodies of the duo around 1 pm.
The bodies were later handed over to the family members after postmortem at district headquarters hospital here.
