Balasore: Two grooms and their marriage parties were stopped by the police on National Highway-60 in Odisha’s Balasore as they did not possess a COVID-19 negative report.
Throwing the restrictions on inter-state movement of vehicles to the wind, a groom Debasis Dey of Dantan in West Bengal was on way to Motiganj in Balasore when they were stopped at the Lakhannath check-post on National Highway 60.
During inquiry and checking, the marriage party failed to show a RT-PCR negative report. It has been mandatory to get a RT-PCR test done to enter Odisha or the person should carry a certificate stating that s/he has taken two doses of COVID vaccine.
Another groom Abas Senapati of Belda in West Medinipur district of West Bengal was on his way to Paradip when his party too was stopped, as per reports in electronic media.
