Berhampur: Two perosns died while another was critical injured after being run over by a speeding car near Podamari bus stand under Pattapur police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district late on Tuesday.
According to sources, the trio was waiting at the bus stand to catch a bus when the speeding car en route to Rayagada from Berhampur rammed into them, killing two on the spot. The injured is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Digapahandi.
The identity of the victims is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the driver, who speed away soon after the accident.
