Bhubaneswar: Police on Monday busted a mobile theft racket and arrested two persons in this regard in the city on Monday.
Saheed Nagar Police also seized 102 stolen mobile phones from their possession.
Police identified the accused as Sanjay Gadnayak and Lipun Sahu of Angul.
According to police, the two were members of a gang of mobile thieves who operated in Angul, Jajpur and Rourkela. Earlier, police had arrested six members of the gang.
The gang members used to snatch mobile phones and then sold them in the black market.
Police said as many as 82 persons, who had purchased the stolen mobile phones, will be brought under the purview of their investigation.
