Bhubaneswar: In another setback for BJD, two more of its leaders, including a block chairperson, joined BJP in Bhubaneswar on Monay.
Rina Nayak, chairperson of Saharpada block in Keonjhar district, and Alok Mahant, president of Keonjhar District Bar Association, have joined the saffron party in presence of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi here. Both the leaders from the district were elected to their respective posts with support from BJD.
The district president of BJP and Yuva Morcha president were also present on the occasion.
Speaking to the media, Rina said she joined the ruling party in the state in order to further strengthen her efforts to extend services to the people. Similarly, Alok said he had been neglected by the top leadership of the BJD. He hoped to serve people better as a BJP worker.
